Sometimes some form of difficulty can lead you to be more creative, especially in continuing the work of Jesus Christ. I had to find more creative ways of reaching people and ministering to the world. At HEALING CHRIST MINISTRIES[HEALTHCARE OUTREACH] we believe in using healthcare as a tool to reach people for Christ. Our goal is not merely to care for physical ailment, but we strive to go beyond diagnostic and medical tools to minister spiritual and emotional needs as well, so instilling hope that heals in the people that we minister to. My name is Dr. Victor Efughi, you can also call me Rev (Dr.) Victor Efughi, since I am an ordained minister of God. I am a Medical Radiographer/ Sonographer by profession. I am also a Senior Clinical Specialist Radiographer (Ultrasounds) and Medical Director at a Private Medical Diagnostic Center in Ikotun Town, Lagos State in Nigeria, West Africa, called JOAS MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIX (www.joasdiagnostix.8m.net). I am a member of Mountain of Fire And Miracles Church Ministry (Idimu-Isheri, Lagos State branch), where I am also a Healing Minister with the Hospital Ministry of the Church. In this article I will not be talking about the large Mountain of Fire and Miracles Church Ministries, but I will be talking about a small healing ministry /office ministry/ healthcare outreach. I operate called HEALING CHRIST MINISTRY. Healing Christ Ministry is more or less an office /hospital christain ministry. The uniqueness of this ministry is to preach the Gospel of Christ with limited materials and touch the life of the wounded both spiritually and physically including providing free/ cheap healthcare services and providing material needs to the less privileged.
HEALING CHRIST MINISTRY (HEALTHCARE OUTREACH)
I had to create this form of ministry when I found out that I cannot really preach the gospel traditionally or participate fully in traditional church activities because of the secular medical work activities since my work takes over 13 hours of my time everyday, including Sundays (as a medical worker).
I realize my organization where I work (JOAS MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIX) is an outpatient private medical diagnostic center, with services such as x-ray, ultrasound scan, ECG, Laboratory services and health counselling services, which attracts many patients per day (over 150 patients) and also half of them may never come back again.
These are large number of people broken down physically and spiritually in need of both helps.
So the first thing I did was to unconsciously recruit members of the organization workforce (since I am the Medical Director) to create a sort of house fellowship/ office fellowship ministry, where we pray every morning normally before work starts then I gradually extended to the patients, where we preach to them and also pray for their healing including giving them free health talk, diagnosis/ treatment and counseling.
Through this ministry we have touched the lives of so many people, such as our unsaved staff and many unsaved and sick patients.
Some of the patients have even come back to give testimonies of receiving their healing.
JOAS MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIX (HEALING CHRIST MINISTRY) also contribute to the community by organization free health counselling sessions, where we go to the market place and talk to the people, also using this medium to preach the Gospel to them.
We called that HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT SUPPORT (NGO) (An undercover name for the ministry to distract the true gospel purpose, so reaching more people, because Nigeria is a multi ethnic, multicultural and multireligious society).
The only problem we have as a ministry and a medical diagnostic center is this
The medical diagnostic center offer free or very cheap medical diagnostic services, such as their ultrasound scan which cost as low as $ 4, so that the poor can easily afford it.
So this is affecting the HEALING CHRIST MINISTRY, because we have to raise funds individually to help the ministry and the NGO, making us to be only able to reach a few people
If we can receive assistance we can reach much more people and many more. Lives will be saved physically and spiritually.
Nigeria has a population of over 150 million people, Lagos State has a population of over 20 million, Ikotun Town/ Alimosho Local Government where we are situated has a population of over 5 million people, who needs Jesus Christ in their lives, I and my ministry is willing to give the required service, if we can be assisted in anyway.
HEALING CHRIST MINISTRIES (JOAS MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIX) will be pleased if we can receive donations, such as bibles, christain literatures, funds, christain tracts, any form of christain material and any form of medical equipment and accessories or any form of assistance, these will go along way in touching lives and bring more people to Christ Jesus.
